46th Annual Clermont County Knothole Tournament sees Amelia, Goshen, Milford, and WG in forefront
The 60th Annual Clermont County Knothole Tournament is underway. Thanks to Clermont County Knothole Supervisor Gene Blom of Withamsville the earliest results can be reported.
The first Clermont County Knothole supervisor was Stanley Anstaett in 1946. He was the Amelia High School baseball coach from 1931-62, did not have one losing season, won the Clermont County League championship 26 times, and led the Barons to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Class B state championship in 1950. This when Amelia was the third-smallest high school (only larger, enrollment-wise, than Owensville and Moscow high schools) in Clermont County until the mid 1950s.
