Hike/bike trail project gaining momentum

The four entities with vested interests in developing the Batavia/Williamsburg Hike/Bike Trail have been asked to invest up to $10,000 each in seed money to get the project off the ground. With state and federal support either guaranteed or under review, the project planners say they are getting closer to making the dream a reality.

Deborah Clepper, a Batavia Township Trustee and member of the hike/bike committee, addressed fellow trustees Archie Wilson and Lee Cornett at the July 5 meeting to make the formal request.
