Nature lovers and wildflower enthusiasts in Clermont County will soon be able to enjoy a larger field of dreams with the announced expansion of Sycamore Park in Batavia.
The popular park, located along the Little Miami River and SR 132 just south of Batavia, will grow by 30 acres, which are expected to be open and accessible for all visitors later this summer.
The existence of wildflowers at the new park addition are a first for the county, said Clermont County Parks Director Chris Clingman.
Chris Clingman stands near the location where a new bridge will be constructed to link Sycamore Park with newly-acquired parkland. The concrete structure currently in place is expected to be removed at a later date.
