Felicity football revived after 38-year hiatus
It was about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 1967, cold and snowing and quickly approaching dusk, when the last people were leaving the Felicity High School football field. The Cardinals had been defeated 32-8 by Williamsburg, Clermont County League (CCL) champion of the 1967-68 school year.
Village council and business owner at odds over landscape
Local business owner Dave Kunz recently met with the Batavia Village Council to discuss possible changes to the landscape in the route 32 right-of-way leading into Batavia.

New Richmond mayor Terry Durrette opened the July 12 village council meeting by reminding everyone that the village must look at the community as a whole, not specific groups or people.
Historical school being moved to Brown County
The old Williamsburg Township District No. 9 School has been broken down and removed to the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery (OVAM) Grounds in Georgetown, Ohio. The break down of the building began June 4, 2004.
Hike/bike trail project gaining momentum
The four entities with vested interests in developing the Batavia/Williamsburg Hike/Bike Trail have been asked to invest up to $10,000 each in seed money to get the project off the ground. With state and federal support either guaranteed or under review, the project planners say they are getting closer to making the dream a reality.

The city of Milford held a public meeting on July 11 to discuss the implementation of its proposed Tree City program. The Community Development Committee played host to a small but vocal crowd who expressed their individual concerns over the taxation process which will accompany the program.
Clermont County Fair to get underway Sunday
The 156th Clermont County Fair is set to begin Sunday, July 24. The gates at the fairgrounds will open at 10 a.m. Sunday, and the annual opening parade, sponsored by the Owensville Fire Department, will begin at 1 p.m.
Bad behaviors driving fatalities on Clermont roadways
The death of a New Richmond woman marked the ninth Clermont County fatal crash in six weeks. Linda Lawson, 54, died on July 12 when she lost control of her vehicle and slid off the road, striking a tree. Sgt. Charlie Scales, of the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, said that the variety of fatal accidents and the causes behind them make targeted enforcement difficult.
