Miami Valley Christian Academy (MVCA) has just experienced its first year of high school baseball competition.
The Christian academy, located in Newtown, currently has just a sophomore and freshman class, and this includes a total of only 36 students. Next year everyone hopefully advances a year and there will be the first junior class in school history.
The MVCA Lions competed on the junior varsity level with 11 players including two girls. The squad lost its first 19 games, but won the season closer to earn a trophy in the Milford Christian Academy Tournament.
